DECORA SLUGZ with Milo
Exciting news in the Decora community as a small artist, thatoneswagslug, is debuting his online shop and product launch. Please enjoy this interview about the creative process.
“Hi there, I’m Milo the Decora Slug! I’m a decora fashion enthusiast based in the United Kingdom, 🇬🇧. I started wearing decora in late 2023, and have since hosted decora panels of my own and joined fashion shows in this style! I created my brand DECORA SLUGZ in 2024 - a personal project which has now turned into my own little business. Finally in June 2025, we’re opening for release!”

"DECORA SLUGZ mission is to show that anyone and everyone can have cuteness to them - slugs aren’t typically seen as cute creatures, but I think they can be cute anyway! Cuteness can be found in unexpected places! I want this to inspire people to find the hidden cuteness within themselves too."
"DECORA SLUGZ is a combination of my two favourite things - slugs and decora fashion! I remember thinking how I really wanted slug accessories for decora, so I decided I might as well make them myself😂 This is pretty much how the inspiration for the brand began."
Q: How long did the design process take from the idea stage to receiving the product?
"On average it’ll take 3-ish hours per design from sketching to finalised piece. It depends on the sort of product though, hairclips tend to take longer to design compared to badges. Then the manufacturing stage can take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month!🌈"
Q: What was the most difficult part in turning your ideas into real merch?
"I found it really difficult to work out RGB and CMYK at first… so this was probably one of my biggest issues😅 My work is super colourful, so I was concerned the quality wouldn’t be there in the final products… fortunately the brightness has been retained!"
Q: Do you have any future plans after this initial launch?
"I have SO MANY plans for future launches😭 So many designs locked away and ideas in the work… choosing which ones to turn into actual products is the hardest part. Expect lots more hairclips and maybe some new things altogether👀 Who knows!!"
Q: Are there any dream items you'd like to have made for DECORA SLUGZ?
"My dream DECORA SLUGZ products would definitely have to be turning my clothing concepts into actual wearable clothes. They were some of the first designs I actually made for DECORA SLUGZ back when I first started working on the brand! One day I really hope to turn them into reality."
